       About

My passion for violin teaching directed me to what I am today. Backed by extensive training in violin teaching, I have my career for over 20 years and been rewarded by seeing the progress my students have made.
I received my bachelor’s degree in Music (violin performance) in 1999. Shortly before graduation, I started my career as a symphony and chamber music artist performing in the Middle East, Europe and the United States.
As a teacher, I am responsible for clear and comprehensive information delivery, motivating each student to rise to each challenge and creating realistic, attainable goals. I do not have a “cookie cutter” approach.  My priority is to find the technique or approaches that work best for each student.
One of my goals is to help students of all ages unlock the meaning of any piece of music. I believe teaching and learning are about exploring and experimenting, and I approach each lesson with full commitment to spark the student’s imagination and musical understanding. I cherish seeing the progress each student makes in the exciting journey on the violin and see the parent-student-teacher relationship as key to this progress.
The teacher-student relationship involves the teacher imparting knowledge to the student in a supportive and non-judgmental environment and being aware of each student’s unique learning style.   In class, each student will receive instruction on the violin along with theory that is integrated within the lesson.  Students will also learn sight reading, rhythms and music history.
Progress reaches far beyond the lesson itself. The parent and student work as partners at home to reinforce and extend the lesson itself.
My goals reach beyond just violin teaching. I help students become independent learners as they find their own artistic voice. I have taught students of all ages guiding them to the reward of how music connects people.
When not teaching, I am either on my mat for a yoga class, in the kitchen enjoying cooking and baking, or in the garden finding peace in nature.
