   General Policies

This policy is an agreement between Studio Vivaldi LLC, and the student and/or the student’s parent or guardian. It was created to clear up any questions that may arise regarding violin lessons policies, especially for missed lessons that may occur throughout the year. Based upon the student’s age and/or ability, the instructor will determine the length of the lesson, ranging from 30 minutes, 45 minutes, or 60 minutes. After each lesson, notes/instructions will be given based upon what has been taught throughout the lesson, via my online system. The student must refer to the provided notes/instructions before every practice to ensure that the student is covering what is being taught. Before you begin your music lessons, please read the following.

  • Location & Materials

All music lessons are taught in Studio Vivaldi, located at her residence. The student is responsible for providing an appropriate instrument, and for purchasing any necessary method books or materials for lessons. Such purchases will be minimal, but certain materials will be necessary for proper development.

   Payment Policies

  • Payment Policies

Payment for violin lessons must be received on the first lesson of each month—covering all of the monthly expenses excluding the costs of method books and/or materials . You will receive an email describing the details of your bill. Payments can be made by cash or check; checks can be written to “Studio Vivaldi LLC” If you have any questions about your invoice, please contact me at any time.

  • Discontinuing Lessons Policies

In the event that lessons must be discontinued by the instructor or student, one month notice, prior, must be given by either party. Exceptions are made for extenuating circumstances.

  • Refunds Policies

No refunds will be given under any circumstances.

   Cancellations Policies

  • Last Minute Cancellations/No-Shows Policies

The instructor reserves the right to refuse a makeup lesson if you cancel your lesson on short notice or do not show up for a lesson. If it becomes necessary to cancel a lesson, please give at least 24 hours notice. If you do not show up within 10 minutes of the lesson's scheduled start time, or do not call to cancel your lesson within an appropriate time-frame, the lesson will be forfeited and no make-ups will be given.

  • 24-hour notice Cancellation

If a lesson is missed for a reasonable reason, there are two options to make up the lesson:

1) Reschedule the lesson to a different date within the month of the missed lesson (if possible).

2) Add time to future lessons (as scheduling permits).

  • Illness & Vacations

Please be considerate of the health of your instructor and other students by cancelling your lesson if your student is sick. If you are planning on going on vacation, please alert us as soon as your plans are set.

  • Emergency Situations Policies

Exceptions will be made to the missed lesson policy in extreme situations.

   Responsibilities

  • Students' Responsibilities

The discipline of daily practice is crucial for the proper development and mastery in music, especially when dealing with more difficult concepts. Having a certain time of day, that is consistently set aside for practice, is vital. The student must acknowledge that he/she will have a positive outlook, maintain the sufficient time for practice and will have respect for the instructor.

  • Parents' Involvement

The parent/guardian acknowledges that they will be a positive role model for their child throughout the violin lesson process; including fostering good practice habits, monitoring students progress and keeping communication lines open with the Instructor.

  • StudioVivaldi's Responsibilities

Instructors at Studio Vivaldi LLC acknowledge that she/he will provide quality music instruction, will have respect for the student and will keep open communication with students and parents.
