General Policies​
* This document outlines the policies and agreement between Studio Vivaldi LLC (the “Instructor”) and the student and/or the student’s parent or guardian (the “Student/Guardian”). This policy is designed to address any questions regarding violin lessons, particularly concerning scheduling, payment, and missed lessons.
* By enrolling in lessons with Studio Vivaldi LLC, the Student/Guardian agrees to abide by the terms and conditions set forth below.
* The Instructor will determine the appropriate lesson length based on the student’s age and/or ability, which will be either 30 minutes, 45 minutes, or 60 minutes.

Practice Instructions​:
Following each lesson, notes and instructions detailing the material covered and practice assignments will be provided via the Instructor’s online system. The Student is required to refer to these notes/instructions before every practice session to ensure focused and effective study of the material taught.

Location & Materials:
* All music lessons are taught at the Studio Vivaldi LLC residence.
* The Student/Guardian is responsible for providing an appropriate violin instrument for the student.
* The Student/Guardian is responsible for purchasing any necessary method books or instructional materials as directed by the Instructor. The material purchases will be minimal but essential for proper musical development.
Payment Policies​

Tuition & Invoicing​:
* Payment for all scheduled violin lessons must be received at the first lesson of each month. This monthly payment covers all lesson expenses for that month, excluding the cost of method books and/or materials.
* The Student/Guardian will receive an email detailing the monthly invoice.
* Payments can be made by cash or check. Checks must be made payable to “Studio Vivaldi LLC”.
* If you have any questions regarding your invoice, please contact the Instructor immediately.

Discontinuing Lessons Policies​:
* Required Notice: Should the Student/Guardian or the Instructor need to discontinue lessons, one month’s prior notice must be given by the party initiating the change.
* Exceptions: Exceptions to the notice requirement may be made for documented extenuating circumstances, at the sole discretion of the Instructor.

Refunds Policies​:
No refunds will be given under any circumstances, including but not limited to discontinued lessons, non-attendance, or late cancellations.​
Cancellations & Make-Up Policies

24-Hour Notice Cancellation (Reasonable Absence)​:
If the Student/Guardian provides at least 24 hours of advance notice for a missed lesson due to a valid reason, there are two options to make up the lesson:
1. Reschedule: The lesson may be rescheduled to a different date within the month of the missed lesson, subject to the Instructor’s and the studio’s scheduling availability.
2. Add Time: Time may be added to future scheduled lessons to make up the missed duration, subject to scheduling permits and the Instructor’s discretion.

Illness & Vacations​:
* Illness: Please be considerate of the health of the Instructor and other students. If the student is sick, the lesson must be canceled. Please provide notice as soon as possible. The 24-Hour Notice Policy will apply.
* Vacation: If you are planning a vacation, please alert the Instructor as soon as your plans are set so that adjustments can be made to the monthly schedule.

Last-Minute Cancellations/No-Shows Policies (Less than 24-Hours Notice)​:
* If a lesson is canceled with less than 24 hours of notice, or if the student does not show up for the scheduled lesson, the lesson will be forfeited.
* No make-up lesson or credit will be given for forfeited lessons.
* Tardiness: If the student does not arrive within 10 minutes of the lesson’s scheduled start time and has not contacted the Instructor, the lesson will be considered a no-show and will be forfeited.
* The Instructor reserves the right to refuse a make-up lesson for habitual or short-notice cancellations..

Emergency Situations Policies​:
Exceptions to the missed lesson policy will be made only in documented extreme emergency situations, at the sole discretion of the Instructor.​
Responsibilities

Students' Responsibilities:
The Student acknowledges that the discipline of daily practice is crucial for proper development and mastery in music. The Student must:
* Consistently set aside a specific time of day for practice.
* Maintain a positive outlook toward learning.
* Practice for sufficient time as directed by the Instructor.
* Maintain respect for the Instructor.

Parents' Involvement:
The Parent/Guardian acknowledges their vital role in the violin lesson process and agrees to:
* Be a positive role model for their child.
* Foster good practice habits and a positive learning environment at home.
* Monitor the student’s progress and ensure assignments are being completed.
* Keep open and proactive lines of communication with the Instructor.

Studio Vivaldi LLC’s Responsibilities:
The Instructor at Studio Vivaldi LLC acknowledges that they will:
* Provide quality, professional music instruction.
* Maintain respect for the student.
* Keep open and professional communication with students and parents.
